PCV Bus / Coach Driver (Chelmsford)
We are looking for qualified PCV (category D / D1) licence holders to drive our young fleet of buses, coaches and minibuses on local bus, park and ride, home to school, rail replacement and private hire work across Chelmsford, Brentwood and Epping.
You’ll drive safely, courteously and in compliance with all applicable traffic laws and regulations, delivering excellent customer service and portraying a positive image of the Vectare brand.
Many of our services operate across rural areas and are a lifeline for the passengers who rely on us – your ability to offer a reliable service and build a rapport with a regular group of customers will be essential. In return, we can offer you a flexible and supportive working environment, with a small management team who will value you as an individual. You’ll also enjoy driving our young fleet of buses and coaches – many of which are equipped with radios and USB charging sockets – and you’ll find our schedules to be less intensive than traditional urban bus driving.
We’re a small operator without the luxury of extensive depot support teams, so you’ll need to be comfortable checking, fuelling and cleaning your bus before / after your driving shift – but always in paid time. We’re looking for team players who will get onboard with our “give and take” style of working – and we promise that we will uphold our side of the “give and take” bargain!
